CCR Journal: Important Login Changes Effective July 7, 2025

2025-07-03

Dear CCR Journal Users,

Please note that important changes to the login process for Computational Communication Research journal will take effect on July 7, 2025.

What's Changing?

To enhance security, our hosting provider (UZH HOPE) is implementing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) requirements for all users. As a result:

  • Your current login method will be discontinued: You will no longer be able to log in using your current username and password.
  • New login methods: Starting July 7, 2025, you must login by linking your CCR account with an external identity provider (IdP): ORCiD iD, or Switch edu-ID.

What You Need to Do

Starting July 7, 2025, to access the journal you will need to:

  1. Register with one of the following identity providers:
  2. Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) during your registration (this is mandatory).
  3. Login and link your existing account: During your first login to CCR with your identity provider, you will be prompted to link your existing journal account.  If you skip this step, a new account will be created and you may lose access to your previous work!
